Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Famvo is a family location sharing app made by WHITE CODE TEKNOLOJİ LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Famvo collects, why, who can see it and how you can delete it. If you have any questions, write to info@famvo.co.
Information we collect
Account
- An account identifier created automatically when you first open the app.
- If you choose to link them: your Sign in with Apple identifier and email address (which may be an Apple private relay address) and your phone number.
- Your name and, if you add one, your profile photo.
Location
- Your precise location, including in the background when the app is not open, so that the people you connect with can see where you are. Background location requires the "Always" permission, which you can change in iOS Settings at any time.
- Your location history: trips and their routes, arrivals at and departures from saved places, and SOS events.
- Driving data: drive routes, speed, and hard braking or rapid acceleration events.
- The places you save (for example "Home" or "School").
Device and activity
- Motion and fitness activity, used to tell walking, cycling and driving apart. It is processed on your device; only the resulting trip and drive information is stored.
- Battery level, shown to the people you connect with if battery sharing is on.
- Notification and widget tokens, an installation identifier and basic device information needed to deliver notifications and widget updates.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) to find and fix bugs.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive your purchase and subscription status through RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
Advertising attribution
To understand which ads bring people to Famvo, we receive the campaign that led to your install and report installs, trials and purchases to the advertising platforms we work with. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is also shared with these services. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not collected. Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork and Apple Ads attribution may still be used.
What stays on your device
- Contacts: if you allow access, your contacts are only used on your device to help you send invitations by message. They are not uploaded.
- Camera and photos: used only when you choose a profile photo. Only the photo you pick is uploaded.
- Child mode PIN: stored securely on the device and never sent to us.
How we use information
- To provide Famvo: showing locations on the map, place notifications, trip and driving history, SOS alerts, widgets and Live Activities.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To measure the performance of our advertising, as described above.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your location history for advertising.
Who can see your information
- People you connect with: only people who accept your invite code, or whose invite code you accept, can see your name, photo, current location, battery level and saved places. They can see your trip and driving history only if you turn those sharing options on. You can stop sharing your location at any time; your current location is then removed. You can also remove a connection at any time.
- Service providers that run parts of Famvo for us:
- Google Firebase (account, database, file storage, notifications, crash reports). Data is stored on Google servers in the United States.
- RevenueCat (subscription management).
- Branch (install attribution and links).
- Meta and Google (advertising measurement).
- Apple (sign in, payments, notifications).
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect someone's safety.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings. This permanently deletes your profile, locations, history, places, connections and device records. Crash and purchase records kept by our service providers are handled under their own retention policies.
Your choices and rights
- Change location, motion, contacts, camera, notification and tracking permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
- Turn location, battery, place, trip and driving sharing on or off in the app.
- Delete your account in the app, or ask us to access, correct or delete your information by writing to info@famvo.co.
Depending on where you live (for example under KVKK in Türkiye or the GDPR in Europe), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to processing or filing a complaint with your data protection authority.
Children
Famvo is meant for families. A child's use of Famvo should be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child is using Famvo without that, contact us and we will delete the account.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access rules make sure that only you and the people you connect with can read your information. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes we will let you know in the app.
